Me and Rich here to bring great video on how to bolt on the neck to your guitar. When working on this task there are some things to think of during a project like this:
- The dimensions of both the neck and neck pocket (making sure the dimensions match really up as close as possible
- The correct size neck for the correct body (fender license neck with fender license body, etc)
- Appropriate truss rod location (If the body has truss rod adjustment slot or not, truss rod adjustment in heel or headstock)
- Quality of neck (No twist in neck or other unnecessary deformities)
We recommend that you look over the entire neck for anything that may stand out. Typically retailers cannot accept returns on necks once altered and are usually covered under the factory warranty should the neck have issues before install. If you follow these basic guides when purchasing a neck, you will have a better chance that the neck will settle nice and straight on the body.
So now that we have covered the basics, let dive into the instructions on how to do this specific project. Without further ado…
